Friday night, I went to the Bears on the Run show at JJ's. It was excellent. First up was Bobaloo. While his act wasn't nearly as good as the material on his DVD, but it was still good. It's just that the comedy on Bobaloo's DVD is outstanding. (Buy it if you don't have it yet.)

Today (well, actually yesterday as it's past midnight) we finally got the wireless internet set up. We got a combo modem/ wireless router from Charter installed today, so we're almost back to normal. The inspection on our potential new house was today. It looks like we're gonna cancel the contract. The wiring panel is a mess, but that alone would be no big deal. The house on Lakeshire is now under contract. We're in. Turns out that someone else was bidding on the house for the last several days, but it had gone through several offers and counters. Well, I broke down and bought a new notebook. Best Buy had a special for a nicely loaded Toshiba laptop for $599. It's not on the floor. You have to ask for it. But it comes with 2 GB RAM, 120 GB hard drive, +/- double layer DVD drive, and 15.4 widescreen. And, of course, the dreaded Vista. Can't have everything ( Read more... )
